S$5,500
Availability: 2 in stock
A 33 Year Old Lagavulin Cask of Distinction that was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2024 at cask strength.
Matured in a PX/Olorosso-seasoned European Oak Butt, then rested in a quarter cask, this vibrant Lagavulin has gained complexity down the years.
The mild nose is richly aromatic; dark winey notes mingle with clean, fresh hints of fragrant bath oil and dried rosemary, on a base of newly oiled willow. The texture is smooth, the taste sweet to start and lightly salty. Soon muscular and lightly spicy too, it is accented by smoke and a chilli pepper heat. The finish is long, fragrant and smoky. water brings a cooling eucalyptus-like after taste.
