Midleton Very Rare Vintage Release 2021

First created in 1984, the Midleton Very Rare Collection has a new vintage released every year. The Master Distiller selects only the finest and rarest whiskies and carefully blends them to create each annual vintage. Only a select number of casks are deemed of sufficient excellence and rarity to bear the Midleton Very Rare name, making this The Pinnacle of Irish Whisky.

The nose opens with a delicate floral perfume followed by roasted coffee beans, salted caramel and honeycomb. Hints of nectarines that linger in the background evolve over time along with freshly grated ginger and nutmeg spice. On the palate, baked orchard fruits with a touch of lime zest and kiwi. Mild pot still spices continue to build along with soft waves of vanilla, sweet coffee liqueur and cocoa powder.
